Ronald Acuña Jr. Carted Off the Field After a Nasty Leg Injury

Fuck.

Put aside everything about the future of the Braves' 2021 season, that was over anyway. I don't even know how to put into words how awful I feel for Ronald Acuña Jr. right now. I could barely hold it together when I saw him trying to hide his face as he was in tears.

Ronald has a close call with an injury seemingly once a month or so, but you can just tell this one was different. I'm not going to speculate on what the injury is or how bad it could be, but you can just tell. Everybody on the field knew.

This is just horrible for baseball. It's a treat to get to turn on the TV every night and watch Acuña play. This injury even happened in the first place because he was trying to make an unreal play that probably only a handful of guys in the sport could make in the first place.

I'm just so sad. That kid deserves this the least of anybody not just on the Braves, but in Major League Baseball. This really fucking sucks.

Let's just pray the diagnosis is as optimistic as possible.
