PLL ICEPICKS: Week 3

The Barstool SportsBook is finally offering PLL on the sportsbook.

I got a couple of hunches on these picks and I will explain each one.

Chaos v Redwoods Today 5:15pm: 

U 21.5

The Chaos and Redwoods both have goalies in the top 3 save percentages in the league, which means that these guys are some of the best goal stoppers and I'm going to start nicknaming certain goalies "Undertakers" because I believe they cause unders. The last time the two teams met last year was a low-scoring 8-7 game and the Chaos have only scored over 10 pts once this season against a very weak defensive team. 

Redwoods -2.5

The Redwoods have the best scorer in the league in Rob Pannell, 2 top 3 scoring midfielders in Myles Jones and Jules Heninburg, and the best faceoff guy TD Ierling. They should easily cover the spread with all this firepower and a faceoff guy who can control possessions. Because this is the first game of the weekend I could see them pulling back the reigns on a blowout to save legs for their game on Sunday, thus not hitting the over. 

Archers v Waterdogs today 8pm:

Waterdogs +170 (Have to take it)

If you delete the Waterdogs' first game from your memory they have had 2 great wins. The Archers are a pretty strong opponent that has shit-pumped the first two teams they have played. To be honest this is a total gut pick out of loyalty to the Waterdogs. Zach Currier who got concussed the first game is back and he's a beast rookie, full send the Dogs ML on the first day on the Book. 

I am hesitant to take the over because everyone is already saying to take the over. I will abstain.
