China Would Like To Nominate The Wuhan Institute Of Virology For The Nobel Prize. That Is A Real Thing That Is Happening

The Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), has been listed as one of the candidates for the 2021 Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Prize of CAS for its achievement in identifying the COVID-19 pathogeny.

China's "bat woman" Shi Zhengli, and Yuan Zhiming, director of the WIV's Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory were selected as the outstanding contributors of the WIV group candidates.

CAS published the candidate list on its official website on Friday. The award is mainly given to individuals or research groups who have made or demonstrated significant achievements in the past five years. CAS awards 10 such individuals and research groups annually.

Man, congrats to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. An enormous honor for them to even be nominated. Credit to them for correctly identifying Covid-19. The pandemic has killed 3.9 million people worldwide and has infected 179 million according to google. It halted the entire global economy.

Fuck it, just give them the award. They found the they created. Sometimes a Nobel Prize is right under your nose. Or in your nose and then and then out of your nose and then spread to millions of people across the entire globe. Allegedly. This is the way of the world. Kind of like when the banks figured out when they collapsed the global economy in 2008 and had to be bailed out by governments all across the world with taxpayer dollars. What'd those guys get for finding the largest financial disaster since 1929? A nice prize of $1.6B  in bonuses. Hey, they earned it.
