Have a night Cedric Mullins! Not only did he get his first ever t-shirt night last night, he also grabbed the lead in hits in the AL with 84, hit 2 more home runs to bring his total to 11 on the season, and also solidified himself to make his first All Star team. After that performance it's hard to deny that he belongs in Colorado. This is a guy who was sent down 2 levels in 2019, basically given up on and became a forgotten man. All he's done since is ditch batting from the right side and maybe became the best center fielder in the American League (while Trout is out)? His first at-bat of the game he didn't want to waste anytime and left the yard. Here, have a Mullins t-shirt and a souvenir while you're at it. Talk about having a feeling for the dramatics.
But it didn't end there! The O's were looking for some much needed insurance runs when he came up again in the 8th. Same old story this time, smoked this ball to right field. And it didn't even look like he got it all! 2 homers on his own t-shirt night must be an awesome feeling. 3/4 on the night, average up to .322, .935 OPS, he's a beast and deserves an All Star spot. Anytime you get your face on a donut and then proceed to hit 2 bombs that has to count for something right? Have a day, Cedric!
