Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Is Going To Mess Around And Have 30 Homers At The All Star Break Isn't He

Vladdy Guerrero Jr. did what he does best last night, carry the Jays on his back. Down 1-0 in the top of the 9th and down to their last out with Vladdy at the plate and Matt Barnes served one up to him. This ball was LAUNCHED. Over the monster, over the sign, almost the deepest part of the park, this ball was obliterated. 22nd of the year for Guerrero Jr. who may have overtaken Ohtani for AL MVP at the moment, he's playing that well. He tied it up at 1 with one swing of the bat. Watched it too, sick camera work to follow him around the bases.

Doesn't get more clutch than this. And even though the Sox walked it off in the bottom of the 9th you can't deny what Vlad is doing. Leading MLB in homers by 3 over Tatis Jr., homered in 4 straight games, 2nd in baseball in average, 1st in OBP, third in hits, he's turning into everything we thought he would be. Well except for the people who called him fat and overrated. He may mess around and hit 30 by the All Star break. We're a little less than a month till the ASG and theres a damn good chance he hits more than 8 in that span, especially with how he's hitting them. They're all moonshots too, way up and over the monster like it's his job. 30 by the break isn't that out of the question, he'll be on pace for some insane numbers. Would love to see a 54-55 home run season by Jr. I also wouldn't put a triple crown out of the question, he's so much fun to watch right now. Locked in a zone and he isn't getting out of it anytime soon.

I love that this chubby kid may be the best player in baseball.
