Shotgunning As You Cross Home Plate After Hitting A Bomb Is About Awesome Of A Celebration As You Can Have

I'm over bat flips now, I'm over walk off celebrations, I'm over the end of game celebrations but I am ALL IN on shotgunning after a home run. This is the only way I want to see home runs celebrated for the immediate future. How has no one ever thought of this before? This is from the Kalamazoo Growlers of the Northwood Leagues, a college summer league and you can tell this wasn't his first shot gun. Nolan McCarthy of University Of Kentucky hits his first home run of the season and celebrates in style. As he's heading home he calls for a can and someone tosses him one. He pops the top and bangs it against his spike and shotguns the hell out of it. The cracking of the can on the cleat was maybe the smoothest thing I've seen. That was so clean, you have to respect it. A little spillage in the beginning but he downs it.

And before all you hardos say "fAsTbAlL tO tHe RiBs", it's summer ball. They don't give a shit about a celebration like this. It's fun, it's creative, and if we're being honest I can't believe we haven't seen something like this before. Probably a big time beer league softball move and I love it. This kid is a legend in my book now, I hope he does this for every homer he hits this summer. Need Dana out there tossing him beers and shotgunning with him. I'm sure we could make that happen.
