Donnie Yen Will Star Alongside Keanu Reeves In 'John Wick 4'

Just when you think the John Wick franchise can't get better, they go and make a god damn chess move like this.

According to Deadline, Donnie Yen ('Rogue One', 'Ip Man') will star alongside Keanu Reeves in 'John Wick 4', playing an old friend/ally to Wick. 

The last time we met an old friend of John Wick's in 'Chapter 3 – Parabellum', it was Halle Berry (in the role of ex-assassin Sofia Al-Azwar), and she fucking crushed it; their escape scene together is easily one of the best in the whole franchise….

….and you'd be hard pressed to find an actor who does hand-to-hand combat scenes better than Donnie Yen right now, as he's shown time and time again, not only in the legendary 'Ip Man' franchise….

(If you've never seen the 'Ip Man' movies and you're into martial arts movies (or even just action movies), I strongly recommend you check em out.)

….but also in 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story', where he was one with the Force and the Force was with him as Chirrut Imwe….

I really can't wait to see what he's gonna bring to the table for the Wick franchise. 

I'm also gonna be very weary of a potential Lando Calrissian-esque double cross happening with his character, though, because how can you cast Donnie Yen alongside Keanu Reeves but not have 'em fight each other?! 

Gimme a couple more scenes as good as the knife shop fight every few years and I'll watch John Wick movies for as long as they make them….

'John Wick: Chapter 4' is due out May 27th, 2022
