David Spade Is Replacing Chris Harrison As The Host Of Bachelor In Paradise This Summer Season

Page 6 - Back in February, veteran host Harrison announced that — after becoming embroiled in a race row because he defended a former “Bachelor” contestant who had gone to an “Old South” plantation-themed party — he would be “stepping aside” for an unspecified “period of time.”

Harrison sat out a season of the “Bachelorette” but it was unclear if he’d return for its tropical spin-off.

Now we’re told that he’ll be replaced by a revolving cast of guests hosts — including somewhat surprising stand-in, “Saturday Night Live” legend David Spade.

Okay...I mean...Do I like David Spade? Yes. Is he funny and cool? For sure. Will he make this interesting? Definitely. Do I want him to do it? No.

I want Chris Harrison to do it. I miss him, we all miss him, he’s skipping the upcoming season of The Bachelorette premiering next week, and it’s time to come home. Bachelor in Paradise barely has any Chris Harrison anyway! We’re going to start introducing a whole slew of other celebrities as replacement hosts, and it’s going to fall off the rails. Like it or not, Chris Harrison puts asses in the seats. Will David Spade put up PARADISE numbers right away? Absolutely not. The show is losing momentum quickly. We can’t let it die. Love you David, but we need Chris.
