Charles Barkley Buries The Lakers For Good, Destroys Anthony Davis With The Nickname 'Street Clothes'

And just like that the Lakers and Anthony Davis are good and dead. Charles Barkley just buried them, with one simple, cruel nickname. Street Clothes. That's going to stick too. Barkley is going to use that line every damn episode when the Lakers have a game. But this is what makes the show so good. Barkley just going off the rails on Anthony Davis as Ernie tries to egg him on but hold him back at the same time. The only thing missing here was Kenny in for Draymond to fill in the blanks and try to play the middle man only to encourage Chuck more. It's true though. For as unbelievable as Anthony Davis is, a top-5 player in the world when healthy, he's just that. He's in street clothes a lot. He played 75 games back-to-back seasons in 2016-17 and 2017-18. Other than that? He hasn't played 70 games in a season except for those two with New Orleans. There's always something with him. We're seeing it now with the playoff injury. Hell, he's been hurt all year basically.

The uncomfortable silence really sells it. Shockingly Draymond didn't want to say anything to pile on. Shaq knew what Chuck meant but stayed silent. They all know he's right but you better believe Shaq won't admit Chuck was right. No chance in hell. Street Clothes. Man, what a nickname. You know that's going to be a talking point whenever Anthony Davis talks to the media again.
