Giannis Antetokounmpo Will NEVER Win A NBA Championship

Ya boy Big Ev aka the Double Vodka Don is putting together a damn good month so far. Coming off a +2.65 unit night including smashing on the Cardinals as +175 dog the kid is thinking SHARP right now. With five gambling days left in that month I’m in that weird zone of celebrating the heater while also comprehending that A LOT can happen in five days. I’m still chasing that Picks Central Championship belt while simultaneously not trying to fall into the gutter and in the negative. Here goes nothing. Today’s card:

Bucks -2

I may be on record saying Giannis will never win a championship because I genuinely believe that. I think it‘s incredibly hard to win the entire thing in this league when one of your star players can’t make jumpers with any sort of consistency (cc: Ben Simmons). The teams struggle with spacing and struggle with ball distribution and closing games down the stretch. HOWEVER, I still think Giannis and the Bucks will win this series. The Bucks head down to Miami coming off a 2 game home sweep where they won Game 1 off a buzzer beater by Kris Middleton and an complete and utter shit pumping in Game 2 winning by 34. If the Heat were to win a game in this series, I think this would probably be the most likely game for the Heat to win, but this is far from the same Heat team that knocked off the Bucks last season. The momentum just isn’t the same as it was during that run in the bubble and it’s almost impossible to catch lightning in a bottle like that twice in a row. The Bucks are just too big and long for the Heat and I think they get a win here in what should be a tough game. Heat are on big time sweep alert. Shoutout the city of Milwauke, great people and great city. Go Bucks.

Blazers -4

DAME TIME. Damian Lillard. Playoffs. Facing the Nuggets without Jamal Murray. At home in Portland. I LOVE the Blazers here. I trust Dame and CJ waaaayyyy more than I trust anyone on the Nuggets. Jokic is phenomenal but I think the 1-2 punch at guard for the Blazers is gonna be way too much for the Nuggets to handle without Jamal Murray’s scoring power to help match it. Gimme the Blazers here laying four.

White Sox -1.5

The White Sox absolutely MASH lefties. I automatically bet on the White Sox -1.5 every time they face a lefty without even the slightest hesitation. Today they are blessed to be facing a lefty in Bruce Zimmerman who pitches for one of the worst teams in the league in the Orioles and happens to be one of the worst pitchers on one of the worst teams, sporting a 5.59 ERA and has allowed 48 hits and 9 home runs in just 38.2 innings. Don‘t overthink it, just take the White Sox.

Cardinals +100

We’re going back to the well baby. Amazing hit by the Cardinals yesterday cashing as a +175 with a no sweat, no doubt 4-0 winner. Now for today, the Diamondbacks have lost 10 in a row. They’ve lost 10 in a row because they’re a very bad baseball team. Carlos Martinez has been not spectacular this season, but solid enough (especially with this Cardinals lineup) to win in Arizona. He’s kept the ball in the yard, only allowing 3 homers in 47.1 innings of work. I think getting the Cardinals at plus money with this pitching matchup is way too good to pass up. I’ll take the Cardinals everyday here and twice on Thursday’s before Memorial Day Weekend.

*Mets GM 1, Phillies/Marlins over 7 and Tigers +150 all on the card but starting before this blog gets published. Jump in live or laugh at me because they lost. (Mets already cashed nbd)
