The Falcons Have Reportedly Been Offered a First Round Pick for Julio Jones

It sounds like the Julio Jones saga could soon be coming to an end, as the Falcons are discussing offers they've received for the seven-time Pro Bowler. And in a bit of good news for Falcons fans, Atlanta has reportedly been offered a first round pick by at least one team.

I obviously don't know what the other offers are, but if somebody has offered a first round pick, what are we waiting for? I guess somebody could have offered a second and a third or something, but the goal this whole time in my mind was getting a first. If somebody has put that on the table, take it and get this whole mess over with.

Could this be the Titans? Patriots? My good friend/boss Coley proposed a theory that the second rounder New England dealt to Atlanta for Mohamed Sanu was a sort of down payment and sweetener to get a deal on Jones, so this would certainly disprove that theory if it does end up being the Patriots. But gift wrapping them a Super Bowl should have been enough of a down payment to get good deals on trades for the rest of time in the Falcons' favor.

Regardless, let's just get this whole thing over with. I don't need to see Julio going on any more debate shows — wittingly or not — or have this thing be dragged out any longer. Just take the first round pick, hope Kyle Pitts is as good as you think he is and rip the Band-Aid off.
