Your V-Card Will Get You Laid this Summer

It's happening and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

When Covid-19 arrived, to be honest, I thought it was all bull shit. We threw our annual St. Paddy's Day Party a weekend before the world came to a halt. Now I'm not one to jerry-rig the door anytime someone cries the end of the world is coming. I'm usually skeptical about most things I hear that feel outlandish. Like an airborne virus that can kill you. I also try not to exacerbate any situation by talking about what I do would if I was mayor or governor. However, summer is here and we all know what that means. People will be out and no fucks will be given. Please pray for New York City. I mean seriously, there were 30 people shot across New York City this weekend, which is insane!

Most bars and businesses will be looking to get back on their feet with hopes of bringing back the good times. However, bars and restaurants are confronted with the daunting task of deciding if they will be asking customers to wear a mask. Will they continue to social distance or restore some sense of normalcy by asking their customers to just come on in and let the good times roll without wearing a mask? But there seems to be a demand looming around the bar industry. Are you vaccinated or not? That's the question. Now I'm all for getting vaccinated and I do understand the impact it has on people. There's something to be said when you know people to the left or right have been vaccinated.

However, allow me to throw on my tin foil hat for a second.

Covid-19 blindsided the world, it's been politicized and finger-pointing continues to happen. Countries are still crippled by the virus as we speak. My only pushback is another pandemic will happen and we will be forced to get vaccinated again. But should people be forced away or even verbally stoned for not being vaccinated? I believe in the mantra your body, your choice. Now I am a hypocrite, I am a big believer in wearing a mask. But it's different, wearing a mask is harmless. Trusting the CDC and the government with a vaccine that we honestly don't know anything about seems unsettling. So what's next is the real question? Will we see signs and billboards that say no vaccine, no service, or a PSA on repeat demanding unvaccinated people be penalized?

Bars and other establishments will be forced this summer to deal with trying to manage the vaccinated disciples vs the rouge tribe of anti-needle ninjas. No matter what transpires over the next couple of months. The average Business owner won't risk it. Ultimately the vaccinated disciples will win. Especially if the vaccinated people demand to only drink with other vaccinated people. Which means more money for a business and less headache. As for your anti needle ninjas, you will be alone on your couch with a couple of hard seltzers watching summer pass you by. It's unfortunate but true, we're all sheep whether we like it or not.
