With the Predators needing a Game 4 win to tie their series with the Carolina Hurricanes, Smashville turned to the hero it needed to will the team to its biggest victory of the season: none other than The Boy himself, Taylor Lewan. And did he ever deliver.
When you have a professional athlete/podcaster giving that kind of effort to get the boys back even in the series, you have no choice but to match that energy. And Bridgestone Arena certainly did in a game which went to double overtime — for the second straight game — before Luke Kunin buried one to even the series 2-2.
So now the Preds will head back to Raleigh with a tied series and a renewed life in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Thank you, Taylor Lewan, for bringing the necessary energy to pull out a second consecutive win in multiple overtimes. That kind of dedication is rare and appreciated.
If this trend of crazy games in Nashville continues, we may have to bring back the whole gang for Game 6 and do another catfish luge.
