Mike Trout Is Going To Be Out 6-8 Weeks With A Calf Strain And This Sucks

What a buzzkill here. Mike Trout was having another fantastic season, .333 average, 8 bombs, 18 RBIs, .466 OBP, .624 Slugging %, and an OPS of 1.090. Damn good numbers, but it's the norm with Trout. Last night we saw this video below of Trout coming out of the game after limping around the bases, I thought he was paying homage to Albert Pujols by limping but turns out it was a right calf-strain. 6-10 weeks gone for Trout and that sucks. It's wild that the Angels have 3 of the top guys in baseball in Trout, Shohei Ohtani, and Anthony Rendon but they still can't get a winner on the field. More times than not one of them is hurt too, so that throws a wrench into it as well. This is a big loss though, anytime you lose the best player of our generation you're gonna have a bad time.

Now we see how this affects Ohtani, he had Trout as another weapon in the lineup, now that is gone. Bigger question is how do we keep Mike Trout Healthy? He always seems to miss a good chunk of games every season since about 2017, and it's always these kind of fluke soft tissue injuries. I just want to see a happy and healthy Trout, give me 150 games a year of him and we will see some fantastic numbers at the end of his career. I don't want him to have that "injury prone" label follow him around either. He's such a big dude you to wonder if his body can handle the wear and tear. Is he going to have to switch up how he trains and lifts? This is a downer for sure. Baseball is better with Mike Trout healthy and hitting bombs. The Angels just seem to have this kind of stuff follow them around. there is a major stink on them. Hope we see Trout rehab pretty quickly and make it back soon.
