A True Underdog Story: Frankie & Marta From School of Rock Date Now

Wait wait wait...what? Holy shit am I late to this? School of Rock is an all-timer in my book and was released when I was right around these kids' age so this is big news to me. 

Sure, you see it every so often the two kids who were in the same first grade class who somehow end up getting married 20 years later (my sister and her husband), but two child actors who didn't go on to a big time career or didn't flame out and starred in the same movie as classmates now becoming a couple is pretty wild. 

Caitlin Hale (the actress who played Marta) literally has not changed. Longer hair. Bigger scarf. Looks reminiscent to a young, cool school teacher you had a crush on. Then Angelo Massagli (Frankie) looks straight outta central casting for The Sopranos probably because he was in The Sopranos as Bobby Baccalieri Jr. Hell the kid looks like he's on the path to play Tony Soprano in an inevitable spinoff / prequel series.

Honestly from all the "yeah I could see it" potential couples from that cast, this probably ranks last besides any of them with Jack Black. Freddy and Kate the bass player? 100%. Tomika and the redhead Marco? I don't know why, but I think it could for some reason work. But Frankie the security guard and Marta one of the backup singers? Never really saw it coming. 

Good for this guy, though. You know little chubby Angelo had his eye on Caitlin from the time they stepped on set for School of Rock almost 20 years ago. Probably thought he never had a chance, but he used his sweetness and the Italian in him romanced her to sweep her off her feet. I hope that they set a goal that they had to go on 9 dates before they spent the night together. 

All so Angelo (Frankie) could drop the Jack Black "Yes that was a trick question I was testing you, iiiiiitttttt's niiiiiiiiiiine....and that's the magic date numberrrrrrr".
