The Playoffs Are Here And It Appears The Brooklyn Nets Celebrity Superfan Is....Bill de Blasio!

Ahhhh, there is nothing like playoff basketball. Half court offense, Mike Breen throwing around bangs like college students in the spring, and superfans becoming the face of an entire fanbase. Jack Nicholson was the guy for the Lakers during the Showtime Days as well as Shaq/Kobe run. Drake was pretty much the 6th man during Raptors games getting chummy as fuck with whoever was in Toronto on a given night. And Knicks fans have had to live with Spike Lee filling that role for decades for better or worse, almost always for worse.

Well now the Brooklyn Nets finally got their guy in Bill de Blasio. It's not often you see a politician put his full support behind one team in a city with multiple playoff teams let alone multiple playoff teams with home court advantage in Round 1, but here we are. Can't wait to see Billy Barclays sitting court side to welcome in the Nets Big 3 along with the 12 other guys on the roster. Get hyped Nets fans!

OK, that's pretty much all New Yorkers. But still, even the most hardened vet of the Big Apple can't possibly hate on a totally normal New Yorker eating a New York institution like Shake Shack burger and fries totally normally!

Yikes. I'm not sure where the Nets can go from here considering I've lived my entire life in New York and the only other Nets fan I know is a former coworker.

The Nets sure as shit didn't gut their entire rebuild to get stuck with the New Yorker with the lowest approval rating in a city full of assholes. So they need to either throw the bag at Voletta Wallace even though Biggie was a diehard Knicks fan or get our guy Spider court side because rolling into Round 1 with this guy as the face of the fanbase is the easiest way to ensure an early exit.
