WEEK 1: BROWNS VS CHIEFS.....Is Home Field Advantage On The Line Already?

Wowwwwwww. The NFL wants to start this thing off with a bang, I see. A playoff rematch, the two most talented rosters in the league, and likely an AFC Championship preview. Folks, the question must be asked: is Home Field Advantage on the line in Week 1??

Let me be the first to say though that I don't like how the NFL simply refuses to throw the Browns a bone in Week 1. We've lost our opener in each of the last 16 years, and they make us open up AT Kansas City? This is single handedly the hardest matchup you could give a team to start the season. And this is nothing new. Last year they made us open up AT Baltimore? What does Goodell have against Cleveland? Just give us the Bengals one time and let the streak reset. The only possible explanation for this is that the NFL enjoys watching us fail. Or that they're so concerned about ratings that they have to put the biggest possible matchup on at 4:25 in the first week. Couldn't this be Ravens/Chiefs? Or Bills/Chiefs? Or Packers/Chiefs? Or Titans/Chiefs? They all play each other this year as well. Because the fact of the matter is that we'd be favored over 30 teams in Week 1, but now we'll probably start off 0-1 for the 17th straight season.

I wonder what the line will be for this game? Last year we showed that we can score on them, but the problem was that we couldn't stop a nosebleed. Say whatever you want about Cleveland, but you can't say we haven't addressed our needs....

The Browns are going to be the real deal this year, and that's no longer hyperbole or trolling. That's just a fact. In fact, I could absolutely see Baker and the boys going into Kansas City and roughing the 2-time defending AFC Champions up in Week 1. I'll certainly be sprinkling on the money line, but I'm afraid the oddsmakers are going to make this a pick em with the way our roster is looking! The only question mark I have is will the Chiefs get to hand select the refs again?

Is that the most egregious missed call in NFL Playoff history? Clear and obvious illegal hit. Right under everyone's noses. Quite possibly could've been charged with assault if a police officer were on the sideline. But the officials on the field happened to be the only people on the entire Earth that couldn't see it. And then the Chiefs main account had the audacity to brag about it….

Disgusting. I'd rather lose and promote player safety than win and play dirty. And then to brag about it? Absolutely gross. Whatever. I'm sad we were cheated out of a trip to the AFC Championship last year, but we'll be better for it in the long run. Besides, now we've got ourselves a Baker revenge game in Week 1. Hammer the Brownies.
