I Am Officially Referring Kenny Mayne To Be Hired By Barstool After He Was Let Go By ESPN Today
Another day, another one of the legitimately super talented people that once made ESPN must watch let go. I admittedly didn't know Kenny Mayne was still at The Channel Formerly Known As The Worldwide Leader since I don't find myself watching that channel unless there's a game on. But that still feels like a toughhhhh cut to make for a company that owns Marvel and Star Wars.
Now I would never tell Dave Portnoy how to run his company since I think that may be a crime punishable by death. But he always says that Barstool is a magnet for weird brains and there is no weird brain that I think would fit here more than Kenny Mayne.
Can you imagine pairing the man that created this:
With the man that created this:
That Marshawn Mayne Event needs to be inducted to Canton ASAP
I'm not even going to go into the kind of damage Kenny Mayne could do to people's minds after spending just five minutes on the set of The Yak, a Donnie Does episode, a PMT guest appearance, or just chopping it up with Frank The Tank. We already know Kenny would be perfect on Stool Streams.
I'd love to offer my seat or a chunk of my paycheck to land Kenny at the pirate ship, but I don't have a seat at HQ since I work from home and already have enough challenges raising a family of four on a blogger's salary. But if Greenie can try to recruit Paul Pierce to Barstool because Pierce was a Celtic for life that delivered a championship to Boston, I think the guy that could make regular ass NBA highlights funny on SportsCenter and created legendary content on The Mayne Event deserves to at least have his resume looked at.

Sidenote: Watching the guys on Sunday NFL Countdown fake laugh after the Mayne Event because they didn't watch it was the only thing that approached the level of comedy in those snippets
Anyway, if anybody in the Barstool HR department is reading this (if we even have an HR department here) consider this blog my recommendation for Kenny Mayne and please direct deposit whatever referral bonus we have into my bank account if/when we hire him.
UPDATE: This can't be a bad thing…
Completely unrelated but the referral fee at Barstool is 10% of what someone signs for, right?
