I'll be perfectly honest here and admit that I'm not nearly tuned into the music world enough to know where Gary Clark Jr. ranks among the rest of the great guitarists still performing. In my very humble and highly amateur opinion, John Mayer is the GOAT. Primarily Dead & Co. John Mayer. So do I know for sure where Gary Clark Jr. ranks compared to ol' Johnny Boy? Not really. All I know is that this man shreds and whatever amount of respect and recognition he's been getting already, you should double it.
