Ben Shapiro Buying A Single Piece Of Wood And Putting It In A Shopping Bag Is Normal

Now I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know the context of this video and rest assured I will never even attempt to figure it out. That being said, I’ll try to figure it out using only my brain.

Ben has been following Longtime Toolies and wants to get into some minor DIY stuff. He doesn’t have a ton of tools lying around so he’s gotta take it slow. His first project is going to be practicing pilot holes. You can’t practice pilot holes without wood... which he now has.

Ben also is strong in the investment game. He buys gold, silver, and now wood. If you haven’t been in a home improvement store or a sawmill recently, you probably don’t know this but wood has ballooned by nearly 200 percent in parts of the country. With tariffs higher on lumber coming from Canada and some larger sawmills slowing production over the course of the pandemic, wood prices have never been higher. Additionally, now let’s just say that hypothetically speaking for the sake of the argument, some of the chemicals used to treat lumber was needed for hand sanitizer. If I would have know hand sanitizer would have a trickle down effect on the price of 2x4s, I would have simply not washed my hands.

The investment in poplar is smart as fuck because that 3.62 board will probably be worth 5 dollars next month. What other industry can you get a 25 percent net gain over the course of the month? Penn stock. Besides that? Not many.

That being said, you don’t take investments and stick them in the backseat of your Mazda Miata without a bag over it. It’s an investment. You secure it. You take care of it. You put it in a fucking bag. It’s common sense which isn’t too common on the ole interwebs.
