Either Brad Stevens Absolutely Hates Money Or Indiana Basketball Just Flat Out Sucks ... Which One Is It?

SEVENTY MILLION DOLLARS. Just an outrageous number. Don't get me wrong, I get that he rejected Indiana so the offer was technically never made, but there had to be discussions about length of contract and all that bullshit. So it has to be asked. Does Brad Stevens hate money or does Indiana basketball just flat out suck. I don't care if you're coaching the Celtics to another disappointing season while fans jump hoops to explain how much of a genius you are, it's seventy million dollars.

Indiana *shouldn't* have to be ready to offer $70 million. But the fact they haven't won shit in decades means they have to do something like this for the most part. But how bad are you for a coach to turn down being the most overpaid coach in America? Any sport really, not even just college basketball. Instead Indiana had to hire Mike Woodson so they could 'keep it in the Indiana family.' He's actually got a decent staff, which is step 1, but you still can't possibly love the hire if you're Indiana.

Seventy million dollars. Unreal. I get that some guys just want to coach in the NBA. There are only 30 jobs if you want that. All completely understandable. But seventy million dollars is seventy million dollars no matter the sport. Feel like you should accept that no matter what. Either that or this is the worst leaked story hoping the Celtics pay Stevens more.
