Kate Upton, Eva Longoria, Justin Verlander, and Mesut Ozil Are Part of a Group That Is Buying a Mexican Soccer Team

Former Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is collaborating with Hollywood stars Kate Upton and Eva Longoria to invest in Mexican football club Necaxa. The trio are part of a consortium made up of several famous faces who are believed to be close to buying half of the shares in Los Rayos, as reported by Sportico. Necaxa are based in the city of Aguascalientes, but are currently bottom of the Mexican top-flight having won just two games this season.

Casual day if you're a devoted footie fan of the Mexican football club Necaxa. You went to bed last night at the bottom of the standings, with just two wins on the year. You woke up with hope. Hope via the form of Mesut Ozil, Justin Verlander, Kate Upton, and Eva Longoria. They're buying the team and turning around this sinking ship.

Just looking at the reaction on Twitter, there seems to be a ton of Arsenal fans not pleased with this news. Seems they're upset they paid so much for so little that he's now buying soccer teams. I'm scared to hear Troopz reaction.

Anyways, can't imagine the foursome of Ozil, Longoria, Verlander, and Upton trying to run a soccer team. I also probably would have said the same about Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney a year ago and look where we're at now. Life just gets boring as a celebrity sometimes that you have to buy pro sports teams. Must be nice.

If this group has any brains they would incentivize the team by telling them Eva and Kate will start showing up to games if they start winning. If those two women showed up to my sporting events in support of my team I would do anything and everything in my power to bring home victory. If that doesn't turn things around then just fire everyone and start from scratch.

If I were the players, I'd start scoring some goals pronto
