Umpire Tony Randazzo Took A Pitch Right Directly In The Plums

We've all felt this feeling before, the pain, the shortness in breath, the moment where we think our nuts got sucked up into our stomach. It's not fun. Never was, never will be. I got cold sweats just watching the replay. Umpire's catch a lot of these ricochet shots and there isn't really anything they can do. Even with a cup you are in for a world of hurt. Umpire Tony Randazzo was just trying to call some balls (get it) and strikes in the Royals and White Sox game when Lance Lynn bounced one. Perfect bounce right into the ballsack of Randazzo. Pain, just pain.

Trainers came out to check on him and he was fine but he'll be feeling it for a while, get a frozen bag of peas and get ready to sit on em for an hour or two. Not easy being an umpire, this right here is one of the reasons. I think I would be okay with the players and managers yelling and screaming at me, but the nut shots is something I could never be able to deal with. Ice em up Tony.
