Kirby Hocutt is totally fine guys. He's fine. I can't stop laughing reading these tweets and watching his press conference. He's handling this like someone who just got dumped and saw his ex out at the bar with the new guy. The new guy also happens to be taller, richer, better looking and lasts 4 pumps in bed instead of 3. You find one little problem with the guy and tell all your friends you don't understand why she left for him. That's what Kirby Hocutt is doing here. He's focusing on the fact that Texas fans have been shitty lately:

My favorite part of this though? Kirby Hocutt left Miami for Texas Tech after saying he wasn't leaving. Dude, everyone fucking leaves for a different job and more importantly a better job. YOU'RE TEXAS TECH BASKETBALL. I like Texas Tech. Great fans. In fact A+ fans to get drunk with, we'll always have the 2019 Final Four. But you're in Lubbock, Texas and your basketball history is 'oh yeah Bob Knight coached there', what Chris Beard did and Andre Emmett in the Dunk Contest. 

I don't even hate what Hocutt did here. Fire up your fans. Get them all pissed at Beard and get excited for whoever you hire next. It's grade A marketing. And sure it's absolutely weird to see a coach go to another school in the same conference. But we're talking Texas. We're talking Austin vs Lubbock. We're talking the big state school where you can recruit anyone and everyone to Lubbock. I fully expect Tech fans to be tossing tortillas in Austin next year though.
