You'd Have To Be An Absolute Machine To Go To Multiple Final Fours In Multiple D1 Sports. Kenzie Kent Is An Absolute Machine

Every year the ACC awards a male and female athlete of the year. We're not talking about a season MVP or anything like that. We're talking about one athlete across all ACC sports. In 2017, the male recipient of that award was Deshaun Watson. Maybe you've heard of him before.

The female athlete? Kenzie Kent, who had just got done leading the Boston College women's hockey team to the Frozen Four as well as the Boston College women's lacrosse team to the National Championship game. It was one of her 3 trips to the Frozen Four, and one of her 2 trips to the National Championship game. So that's 5 Final Four appearances throughout her college career. It's too much work to do the research here but I feel like that has to be some sort of record.

At the very least, she has to be the only athlete in history to go to 5 Final Fours in multiple NCAA sports AND go to the Pink Whitney Cup Championship Game earlier this week. So on today's episode of The Crease Dive, we had Kenzie Kent come on and talk to us about what it's like to be such a dual sport weapon, the future of professional women's lacrosse, and why hockey players always make the best lacrosse players.

In the rest of the episode we recap everything that went down in the past week of college lacrosse including Duke putting an absolute smackdown on High Point. We get into a little PLL Expansion Draft talk. And then wrap everything up with our college lacrosse weekend preview.
