Does Disc Golf Legend Brodie Smith Approve of the 'Banging Chains' Phrase?

On today's Pardon My Take, Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter welcomed on another unique guest to the show. Professional Disc Golf player and YouTube personality Brodie Smith joined the show to discuss the in's and out's of the sport, transitioning from Ultimate Frisbee, disc golf terms, and much more. If you recall a few weeks ago, the term "Banging Chains" was brought up on the show. How official is that phrase, and does Brodie, an important member of the disc golf community, approve of it? Take a peek:

Mr. Cat: Do you say, "Banging Chains?" Do you say like, "Yo, you want to go bang some chains?"

Brodie Smith: Me personally, I don't, but I have definitely heard it before.

Mr. Cat: Yeah, because I was going to say, because that's like 90 percent of why I want to get into disc golf.

Brodie Sith: Is the fact of being able to say that catch phrase?

Mr. Cat: Yeah, like, "Yo, let's go bang some chains this weekend? Like, what are you doing Saturday? Want to bang some chains?"

Brodie Smith: Well, I got the shirt, and I'm excited to wear it and see if it helps my putting a little bit.

(Later in the interview)

Mr. Cat: I wouldn't have any interest in it [disc golf] if it wasn't called "Banging Chains." When someone told me they bang chains, it's like, "I got to get involved with this."

Brodie Smith: You're all about it.

Mr. Cat: Yeah, I mean, what's cooler than just going into the woods with some of your bros and banging some chains?

Brodie Smith: Hey, if you're really feeling it, we could maybe work out something where we we get your actual "banging some chains" discs. We could put the logo on and everything, you could start tossing those things around.

Mr. Cat: Hell yes.

What a phrase. Very catchy, to say the least. Brodie was an awesome interview and it's always cool to see people from some of these niche sports hop on the show. One day, the Pardon My Take crew is going to go bang some chains, and it is going to be a lot of fun.
