Jonathan Toews Made His First Appearance Tonight Since His Illness Was Announced And It Broke My Heart

I gasped when I saw this at first. It's great to see him. To my knowledge this is his first on camera moment since his illness was announced. I don't know what is going on with Toews obviously, but this sucks. He should be there. These two are forever linked. Rookies together. Signed both extensions together. Won everything together. They embraced and shouldered the responsibility of leading and revitalizing the organization together. They should've been together for this moment. Instead, our guy, our captain, is sitting at 943 games played and sitting in some unknown room away from his teammate and friend. 

Hopefully we get this same moment for Jonathan Toews next year. Get well soon, Jonny.

All of this is making me feel extra old. I am sure a video from Kaner's best friend, Patrick Sharp, is coming in the 3rd period. Makes me wish I was back in 2015.
