Let me introduce myself. Im Jerry Pesek, Owner of Cycle House Performance. Im 70 years old. We have been in business for 11 years. Ive been in the business for over 50 years. I have 2 full time employees and myself. We are motorcycle repair and parts business. We specialize in keeping some of the older bikes running. We also work on new motorcycles like, Honda, Harley's, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha. Most of our business is in the service side. Since the covid last March our customers quit riding as things were shut down. We are a Veteran owned business. I am a vet. The covid has been a major factor in our business losing about 70% of business last year. Everyplace was shut down so travel was limited and no one was getting their bikes out for travel, fun and just commuting. Many of our customers were laid off or let go as businesses couldn't survive. We offer several services that our competitors don't. We are the only shop in the area to offer in house PowderCoating and Wet Blasting. Since our business is more of a pleasure business, peoples dollars were scarce for this type of thing. In October one of my employees got the covid. He was in the hospital for about 2 weeks. He is about 63 and my other worker is 55. So Rick, the employee that got the covid still has not come back. Now I and my other employee Steve have to handle the business. Even as our income has been reduced I have tried to keep paying my employees. I have not taken a salary for awhile to try and help. We did get some assistance from a EIDL but it is gone and business still has not come back enough to pay the bills now. WE all have a passion for the business. We love our customers and I still like going to work everyday even after I had a Stroke 2 years ago. Our shop is unique in the services we offer but we just need customer like we had.
