BBC Earth Video Of The Day - Who Knew The Tiger Was The Michael Phelps Of The Jungle?
Can you sign up to be a zookeeper solely for when animals are babies? And then just quit once they grow old? Because that sounds like a DREAM JOB. Once those little guys Spot & Stripe start wreaking havoc when they're elder statesman I am obviously so out on that as I'm no Joe Exotic, but sheesh they look unbelievably friendly in childhood. I don't want the dog people to take this the wrong way as I, too, am a dog person (shoutout Rottweilers) but I think you're kind of an idiot if you don't think those Tiger cubs are the cutest baby animals around, rno?
And who the hell knew Tigers could swim like that? When I think Tigers I think Detroit, I think Frosted Flakes, I think Mike Tyson, I absolutely DO NOT ever think about the water. Yet those two jumped in the water like they were competing in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. Obviously spot kinda dunked on Stripe in terms of confidence in the water, but once all was set & done I thought I was watching Phelps & Lochte. Super interesting to see them just strutting around the water like their shit don't stink.
Also can't finish this without giving props to the Zookeeper Giles. I would imagine that animals' pools in their exhibits at the zoo is the aquatic equivalent to Penn Station. Nothing but fearless stuff from Giles making sure Spot & Stripe can swim their asses off in that hellhole.
