The Kid Who Beat Up The OU Football Player Claims He Showed Restraint In The Ass Whooping, And Has Raised Over $40,000 For Legal Fees On GoFundMe

NY Post - The Oklahoma football player who nearly lost an eye in a bar fight this month had it coming, according to the other side.

Walker Brown said he was “defending myself” when he charged at Sooners wide receiver and place-kick holder Spencer Jones in the bathroom of Logies on the Corner bar in Norman, Okla.

“There was something that occurred prior to the start of the video as my nose doesn’t bleed for no reason,” Brown wrote on a GoFundMe page aimed at helping pay his medical expenses.

Brown tore his bicep, according to the page, which has raised $35,745.

Braden Brown, who is also a student at Oklahoma, tweeted Saturday that he and his brother have “been wrestling since we were in diapers and MMA/Cage Fighting since we were 12. They gave us no options unfortunately. We showed restraint.”

I'm curious if we will ever get the full details of what exactly happened before the cameras turned on in that pee-soaked OU bathroom in the wee hours of the morning on February 14th. We know something happened because the MMA fighter Walker Brown's nose was already bleeding, and from my experience, unless you're Tommy Smokes, your nose doesn't randomly start bleeding at the most inopportune times. 

But what I'm curious of is this: if he was hit hard enough to cause a nose bleed before the video started, how would he have not hit back immediately? Either something fishy is going on here, or he has the most restraint in the entire world. Or maybe it was an errant elbow, which happens, for sure. Crowded bar, everyone is drunk, limbs are flying, I could see it. This is just why I'm so deadly curious of what happened to cause this donnybrook to begin with.

Regardless of what started it, we know what ended it- a rear naked choke hold on the floor of the bathroom. I cannot imagine the amount of drunken clarity that must hit you all at once as you're being punched and choked out while rolling around in college students piss. A very "yikes, I made a really bad choice" moment in time.

And so now Walker has set up a GoFundMe to raise money for legal feels and surgery:

Hi everyone. I am the guy in the bathroom fight video. I have laughed with the funny comments about my cowboy boots and cauliflower ear. I have not commented because there is an on-going investigation. I have been advised to get an attorney. I am also facing a surgery from an injury I received while defending myself and will be looking at some unplanned medical bills and time off of work recovering from the surgery. I am a full-time student who works two jobs.

First, I would like to thank you all for the generous support that I have received from all over the country. It is overwhelming in a good way! Strangers have even offered to help me cover the costs of defending myself and so I have set up this account for anyone who would like to contribute. I feel awkward doing this because I want to work and pay my own bills, but I am realizing that may be difficult for a little bit.

As of typing this sentence right now the GFM has raised $40,527, going up by the minute. I suppose lots of people enjoyed that video, eh?

The lesson in all of this: If you see someone with cauliflower ear wearing cowboy boots, walk the other way.
