Alex Smith Claims The WFT Didn't Want Him On The Team Last Year

I have a very fair and mediated take on this- he's right, nobody thought he would play again. Literally only Alex knew what he was capable of, and even when he was activated onto the active roster, sports writers were saying things like "he will take a kneel down and retire". What Alex came back from is considered a million to one recovery. So I don't think it was the team not wanting him there, I think the team just simply could not wrap their minds around him starting, and winning NFL games again. It just seemed so unlikely to a factor of infinity.

So it makes sense that people looked at him like he "had three eyes". He was saying he was going to compete at a high level again, something 99.99999% of the world (wrongfully) assumed would be impossible. Yeah, most people probably did treat him like a child out of pure freight that he'd injure himself again. That was the last thing anyone wanted. Everyone loves Alex Smith and the idea of him getting sacked and re-snapping him leg horrified everyone.

All of this makes sense from both sides. The WFT were scared as fuck, and Alex Smith was confident as hell in himself. I still cannot believe that he did what he did. I don't think anyone can fully grasp what he was able to do.

So I understand Alex's frustrations, and I understand the Football Team's side of it as well. But I do think everyone was elated he was able to play last season, 100%. Just nobody thought it was ever going to be possible.
