10 Good Romantic Comedies You Can Stream With Your Darlin Tonight

CHECK OUT ALL OF OUR RANKINGS AND WHERE TO STREAM OVER 4,000 MOVIES ON MOVIERANKINGS.NET

1. The Big Sick - (96/100) - Amazon Prime Video: "Pakistan-born comedian Kumail Nanjiani and grad student Emily Gardner fall in love but struggle as their cultures clash. When Emily contracts a mysterious illness, Kumail finds himself forced to face her feisty parents, his family's expectations, and his true feelings."

This leans more on the dramedy side of rom coms, but it is so good. Beyond being hysterical, tear-jerking and almost sort of suspenseful, it is simply an extremely well made movie. Kumail, Holly Hunter & Ray Romano are incredible and don't waste so much as a single line.

2. Crazy Rich Asians - (92/100) - HBO Max: "An American-born Chinese economics professor accompanies her boyfriend to Singapore for his best friend's wedding, only to get thrust into the lives of Asia's rich and famous."

It's funny, easy to watch and absolutely beautiful. Constance Wu is awesome and Henry Golding is incredibly charming so watching do rich people shit is some fun escapism. Also, Jimmy O. Yang and Ken Jeong have KILLER small roles.

3. There's Something About Mary - (79/100) - Amazon Prime Video: "For Ted, prom night went about as bad as it’s possible for any night to go. Thirteen years later, he finally gets another chance with his old prom date, only to run up against other suitors including the sleazy detective he hired to find her."

This is a classic that hopefully most of you have seen before. To this day, I am still terrified of zipping up after I piss…

4. 50 First Dates - (58/100) - Netflix, Hulu: "Henry is a player skilled at seducing women. But when this veterinarian meets Lucy, a girl with a quirky problem when it comes to total recall, he realizes it's possible to fall in love all over again…and again, and again. That's because the delightful Lucy has no short-term memory, so Henry must woo her day after day until he finally sweeps her off her feet."

My second favorite Sandler/Barrymore pairing after The Wedding Singer(Which isn't streaming with subs, unfortunately), and I believe the true start of the Happy Madison vacation tour. To me, this is so easy to enjoy, even if it isn't perfect. Also, Sean Austin is elite.

5. Chasing Amy - (85/100) - HBO Max: "Holden and Banky are comic book artists. Everything is going good for them until they meet Alyssa, also a comic book artist. Holden falls for her, but his hopes are crushed when he finds out she's a lesbian."

The third movie of the New Jersey "trilogy" is arguably the best, at least from a mainstream audience appeal standpoint. Joey Lauren Adams and Ben Affleck really knock it out of the park, particularly the latter in that one car scene.

6. The Fundamentals of Caring - (86/100) - Netflix: "Having suffered a tragedy, Ben becomes a caregiver to earn money. His first client, Trevor, is a hilarious 18-year-old with muscular dystrophy. One paralyzed emotionally, one paralyzed physically, Ben and Trevor hit the road on a trip into the western states. The folks they collect along the way will help them test their skills for surviving outside their calculated existence. Together, they come to understand the importance of hope and the necessity of true friendship."

This is a Netflix original that kinda flew under the radar, but it is well worth your time. It's Paul Rudd, which is already incentive enough, giving a very earnest performance that is also very funny. Selena Gomez is also killer, and this movie is one of my go-to examples of how she is an underrated actress.

7. Love, Simon - (85/100) - Hulu: "Everyone deserves a great love story. But for seventeen-year old Simon Spier it's a little more complicated: he's yet to tell his family or friends he's gay and he doesn't know the identity of the anonymous classmate he's fallen for online."

We recently interviewed Josh Duhamel and got to ask him a bit about his role as Simon't father which was pretty cool. The movie has a relatively authentic feel to it and is, at the very least, very good-hearted.

8. Grumpy Old Men - (73/100) - HBO Max: "John Gustafson and Max Goldman are two curmudgeonly neighbors who have been at each other's throats for years. The rivalry of the former friends intensifies when Ariel comes along and provides a love interest for both of them. When Max finds out that John is experiencing family troubles and financial ruin, however, he steps in to help. Their bond is further cemented when John has a health scare and Max makes the ultimate sacrifice for his friend."

Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau were two of my favorite old-guy actors, and they have fantastic chemistry in this movie. They form a great trio with Ann-Margret, and made this movie a breezy watch about two old cranks after the same gal.

9. You've Got Mail - (67/100) - HBO Max, Hulu: "Book superstore magnate, Joe Fox and independent book shop owner, Kathleen Kelly fall in love in the anonymity of the Internet—both blissfully unaware that he's trying to put her out of business."

It's Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, tough to go wrong there. While not nearly as good as Sleepless, I still find it very charming. Also, it is interesting from a time-capsule perspective.

10. Porco Rosso - (84/100) - HBO Max: "In Italy in the 1930s, sky pirates in biplanes terrorize wealthy cruise ships as they sail the Adriatic Sea. The only pilot brave enough to stop the scourge is the mysterious Porco Rosso, a former World War I flying ace who was somehow turned into a pig during the war. As he prepares to battle the pirate crew's American ace, Porco Rosso enlists the help of spunky girl mechanic Fio Piccolo and his longtime friend Madame Gina."

I don't know if you can even really count this as a RomCom, but I do. It's such a goofball, weird Miyazaki project and I love the english dub cast. Michael Keaton mails it in so hard and Cary Elwes kills it. truly a delightful watch.
