'Paul Blart: Mall Cop' Was Saved At The Buzzer By Adam Sandler
On the last episode of LCB, we were fortunate enough to interview one of my favorite fellow Long Islanders in Kevin James. We talked King of Queens, Jerry Stiller, Happy Madison stuff, his new NASCAR show 'The Crew' and he was delightful. As a guy that spent a numberless amount of days huddled around the TV watching King of Queens and seeing my large, blue collar dad and Italian mom doing the Leo pointing meme at the screen, it was honestly a great moment.
He also shed some light on maybe the one movie I identify him with more than anything else, Paul Blart: Mall Cop. It's funny hearing him talk about it, mostly because I echo most of his opinions. Some people took the movie very seriously when that isn't really how it was meant to be digesting. It's a turn-off-your-brain, screwball comedy, not some high art. We also go to show him some Paul Blart memes and he also talked to us about how annoying it was that Observe and Report came out the same year as the movie.
You can tune in to hear him talk to us about that, being part of the Sandler crew, and more below.
