Twitter Is Upset At Michael Che Because He Made A Joke About Trans People Being Allowed Back In The Military

Which may or may not be true, but that's definitely the vibe online. To be honest I've always had a tough time empathizing with people who complain about jokes. Mostly because I don't think they actually care. I think that most of the people who complain do it simply because they can. They want to be heard so they say what they think they're supposed to say in order to get some attention. I'm not sure if that's the case here, but I am sure that Michael Che wasn't being malicious nor did he have malintent. He was making a joke- that's it. So when I see people replying to that joke with "our genitals are not your punchline. fuck you Michael Che", I have a tough time taking them seriously. You also have to remember that the people who make a stink about this stuff are more often than not a vocal minority. Regardless, I'll defend a comedian's right to attempt to be funny until the day I die…whether it's funny or not.
