Source - Many LGBTQ advocates did not find a joke that Michael Che told on “Saturday Night Live” this past weekend very funny.
The “SNL” co-head writer is being accused of transphobia because of a quip he offered about transgender bodies on the show’s “Weekend Update” segment. Che addressed President Joe Biden’s executive order last week that repealed former President Donald Trump’s transgender military ban.

Funny, right? WRONG! According to The Huffington Post and these ten people on twitter, Micheal Che and his joke are nothing short of an abomination to both society and comedy...
Which may or may not be true, but that's definitely the vibe online. To be honest I've always had a tough time empathizing with people who complain about jokes. Mostly because I don't think they actually care. I think that most of the people who complain do it simply because they can. They want to be heard so they say what they think they're supposed to say in order to get some attention. I'm not sure if that's the case here, but I am sure that Michael Che wasn't being malicious nor did he have malintent. He was making a joke- that's it. So when I see people replying to that joke with "our genitals are not your punchline. fuck you Michael Che", I have a tough time taking them seriously. You also have to remember that the people who make a stink about this stuff are more often than not a vocal minority. Regardless, I'll defend a comedian's right to attempt to be funny until the day I die…whether it's funny or not.
