Whatever, Immanuel Quickley Is Awesome And Going To Save The Knicks Though
Yep, the Knicks lost. That's not the story here. The story is that Immanuel Quickley, through years of begging and pleading for a point guard. Years of begging and pleading for a rookie that the Knicks can sign to a second contract. He's here and his floater is beautiful. It's more than beautiful, it's deadly. Not since the Dirk one-legged jumper have I seen a shot so useful and impossible to stop. It brings a tear to my eye and a tear to Tony Parker's eye:
I don't care that Thibs refuses to start him, he dominates the 4th quarter. Shit, he's been arguably the best rookie so far this year.
Sure would be nice if he were playing more minutes. No doubt he'd be leading all rookies in scoring. All I know is the Knicks found part of their future. You can win with Quickley and RJ going forward. You can win with Quickley as a point guard or off guard, it doesn't matter. He's barely averaging over a turnover per game, not bad for a guy who people said couldn't play point in the NBA. All I know is the Mike Breen bang on a Quickley three hits different. Gets my juices going.
Oh and never forget:
It's almost like Kenny Payne knows what he was doing in telling Thibs to draft him.
Immanuel Quickley is the real deal. That's' all that matters. The last time we could get excited about a rookie for the Knicks he was traded because he's a head case. Yep, this guy:
Turning out alright for the Knicks. The Mavs are a mess right now with Luka calling the entire team out for sucking. Julius Randle is an All-Star. They have the two young pieces in RJ and Quickley. It's all about growing and trying to forget about James Dolan. Immanuel Quickley is a star and a savior.
