The Eagles Have Hired Colts' OC/Visor Guy Nick Sirianni To Be Their New Head Coach

Here's the thing--it's going to be pretty damn hard to get excited about a new coaching hire after that press conference speech from Dan Campbell. But Nick Sirianni has a few of things going for him. 1) He's the closest thing to Frank Reich you can get without hiring Frank Reich. 2) He's not Josh McDaniels. And 3) he's a visor guy.

And if there's anything we know about the Philadelphia Eagles men's professional football team, it's that they love the shit out of some visor guys. That's now 3 HC hires in a row. As we all know, Doug was quite possibly the biggest visor guy of them all.

He who shall not be named was also known to rock a visor from time to time.

And what's even crazier is that the Eagles pretty much guaranteed themselves to hire a visor guy this time around. Josh McDaniels will throw one on. Dennis Allen is a visor guy. If they got a little crazy and poached Lincoln Riley out of Oklahoma, he's a visor guy as well. It seemed like that was actually the main criteria to get yourself an interview with the Eagles for this opening.

So yeah. I think it's safe to say that the Eagles are clearly addicted to hiring visor guys to lead this football team. But regardless of how disastrous it ended this past go around, Doug Pederson was still the most successful hire in team history considering that whole "winning a Super Bowl" thing. So who knows, maybe they'll go 2 for 3 here. Or he'll suck. I don't know. They literally just hired the dude.

All I do know is that this sure as shit seems like Carson is staying in Philly. I'm sure there won't be any more controversies moving forward with that…
