I Broke Down Buccaneers LB Devin White's Insane Performance On Sunday In New Orleans

Players have a different perspective than film nerds like me, so earlier this year when Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey called Buccaneers LB Devin White "the best in the league".

Yet despite being a tackling machine and having 9.0 sacks, White didn't make the Pro Bowl and the 2nd year Linebacker out of LSU was understandably bummed. But per Peter King's FMIA column, his Quarterback Tom Brady helped refocus him:

"Few weeks ago, I was kinda upset I didn’t make the Pro Bowl. He’s like, ‘D, there’s a bigger bowl I’m chasing. We’re all chasing it. C’mon.’ I just thought, man, it’s a blessing to hear that. I need to hear that. This thing’s about us. He’s still chasing those bowls in his forties. I am just so grateful to be able to spend this time with him." 

White unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19 just before the regular season finale and was ineligible to play in the Buccaneers first playoff game in Washington because of it. So this Sunday, the defense's emotional leader and former LSU Tiger returned to New Orleans and it was clear from his first play he was going to make that game count.
