Looney Tunes was opened by my Dad Karl Sr in 1971. This year we hope to make it to our 50th anniversary. We are a local Long Island record store selling vinyl records, cds, dvds, blu rays and a lot of rock and roll related items. We are one of the top record store in the USA. In the music industry we have seen SO MANY changes in the last 49 years. From the invention of cassette tapes, CDS, downloads, we have seen and weatherd them all…BUT THIS PAST YEAR HAS BEEN REALLY HARD. The majority of our profit comes from when we host in store concert events on our small stage in the store. We have hosted over 500 events in our 50 year history. (see our facebook photos page for a small list of the last 200) All our profits come from really those special instore artist appearance and autograph signings. We have hosted local acts as well as mostly very big national acts. examples of people that have come to our store…Ozzy, Demi Lovatoo, Nick Jonas, Taking Back Sunday, Megadeth, Chubby Checker, and hundreds more. We do these events and people will have to purchase that bands CD or LP to get into the event which we host. BUT covid has KILLED our stage and in store artist appearances. Without that income we don't know that we can survive. IT HAS BEEN 49 YEARS DAVE!!! WE HAVE TO GET TO 50! Please help.
