Jaguars Fire Doug Marrone In A Full Out Blitz For Urban Meyer And His Health Concerns

I know what you’re thinking. “Chaps, that’s not the real schefter, dude. Wake up! Vacation is over.” Well, I’m blocked by ole Adam for an unfortunate event involving Olivier Vernon which I don’t wanna get into right now.

Doug Marrone has been fired. Lots of my Bills pals hate Doug Marrone and I get that. But what happened in jax and the coach he was in jax is much different than who he was in Buffalo. He is loved by the players, respected by the front office, and has done what he could in a shitty situation with nothing but shitty players. Hell, he had the Jaguars one premature whistle from the super bowl. That’s all water under the Matthews bridge at this point.

After losing 15 straight, there was only one option. Can’t bring a coach back after that. You can and probably should fire a coach and try to get one of the greatest college football coaches of all time which what the Jaguars are trying to do. I heard a few weeks ago that the plan was for urban Meyer because he’s a program builder and recently said Trevor Lawrence was the greatest college quarterback of all time. Urban coached Alex Smith, Tim Tebow, and coached against several other top-flight quarterbacks so that’s certainly high praise. No shit tho. Anytime you say someone is the best ever,, that’s pretty good imo.

I don’t know if the Jaguars get Urban Meyer or if they’ll actually pay the insane 12 million a year that I’ve heard was the asking price but Shad Khan has really wet hair so it’s doable for sure.

The jags currently dont have a permanent GM either but Trent Baalke, the acting GM and former executive of the year with the 49ers, could be that guy. His run in San Francisco ended poorly but the dude drafted or signed a ton of talent which is exactly what the Jaguars need.

That being said, I know I should be happy Doug is gone and we are moving forward to hopefully better days but I’m not. I liked Doug. He was a likeable bologna-loving head coach who I don’t hate despite 15 straight losses. That’s really saying something about the man and person he is.

But, I need Urban. He’ll be great or a disaster and both are good for business, baby. We’re on to 2021.
