Bird Watching-ALDS Game 1, Orioles EMBARRASS Detroit

HAHAHAHA. We thought this would be a good game at first. NOPE. Orioles offense put up a snowman (8) in the eighth to put the game away. Good try Detroit! Great 12-3 win for the Birds.

Chris Tillman didn’t have his best stuff but it was good enough. Gave up two early homers but held the Tigers in check from there. Not the best outing, only going 5 innings with four hits and had six Ks. Rest of the bullpen did their job, Miller, O’Day left one over the plate to Miggy and he launched it. Britton barely broke a sweat. Hunter came in and finished it, game over.

The offense came out firing, Markakis singled in the first, and came home on Cruz’s bomb. Hardy gave the Birds an insurance run in the seventh, and the flood gates opened in the eighth. Scherzer held them in check but the bullpen came in and blew it, like I wrote this morning, they are water trash, just terrible, and I love it. O’s scored 12 runs without Jones getting a hit? I’ll take that any day.

Got a game in like 15 hours, time for Chen to come out and follow Tillman’s performance. Jump on Verlander early and often. Scherzer outta the way now, onto the next guy. Birds flying high. Just gotta win two now. 1-0 Orioles.
