Good afternoon. I'm so incredibly happy to hear that you are trying to help.
I'm a 4th generation owner operator of Manny's Cafeteria and Delicatessen in Chicago. Like most restaurants and businesses we have been devastated by the COVID and rules and regulation by the government. Illinois shut down indoor dining back in early November We are a 300 seat family owned single location business. We were the only state in the union to take such harsh closing for this amount of time.. We have managed to keep all 42 employees working full time. This isn't because business is good but because I can't fathom my staff not being able to feed their families. I have done everything possible to keep everyone employed and I need your help!! Instead of keeping the money for myself I would like to spend the money just like Mr Borrelli.
I want to use the money to donate meals to all the thousands of people suffering from food insecurity. By doing this I would be able to continue to pay my staff payroll and help keep the lights on.
