Awful News: Pac-12 Freshman Of The Year Ty Jordan Has Died In An Accidental Shooting

Ty Jordan had been one of the best players in the Pac-12 this year. He was rightfully named the offensive freshman of the year just 4 days ago:

He was on pace to be the next great Utah RB following Zack Moss, who is currently a rookie with the Bills. Jordan averaged 7.2 yards per rush and scored 6 TDs this season in just 5 games.

This morning, awful news surfaced on Twitter that he had died in Texas...

From the initial reports via local police the cause was an accidental shooting....a tragic situation:

Jordan had just lost his mother this year, who he often posted about on social media.

Life is short. Anything can change in a heartbeat. This is especially true when you're around firearms. Please be careful if this is you and always remind those around you to do the same. We lost a budding star today. I pray for his family, teammates, coaches, friends, and community. Utah's season is over, but I am sure they will be playing with a heavy heart next season.
