The Barstool Fund - Mac's Acadian Seafood Shack
Up next: Mac's Acadian Seafood Shack (Saline, MI)
Situated in Murphy's Crossing, a restored historical Saline landmark, Mac's opened its doors in August 1996 and has been a recognizable fixture ever since. The menu has been inspired by the Nova Scotia heritage, combining spicy Cajun cuisine with a little New England charm.

Hi Dave,
I am writing on behalf of a downtown restaurant that is owned by amazing people and I know they are on their last legs. The owner, Wally has cashed in his 401K and out of options. He treats his employees like family and I know that the whole community will be devastated if they have to close their doors.
Wally and Cindy, the couple who own the place have twins, Jamie and Todd with cerebral palsy. They are such incredible kids -- Wally and Cindy used to bring them out to the restaurant every weekend and for our street concerts before Covid-19 hit. Our organization raised money for fire pits to place outside our downtown restaurants for outdoor seating heat this winter and last weekend we got to see the boys for the first time in months. They are real members of the community and everybody loves them. They love live music and the Foo Fighters and Wally used to take them to every concert he could -- it's just horrible to see them lose their restaurant and honestly I have no idea what is going to happen to them.
They are still fighting for their business and not giving up -- but how they will make I don't know. I hope you can help! I have attached photos -- the restaurant is Mac's Acadian Seafood Shack in Downtown Saline, Michigan. Here is a link to the website https://www.macsinsaline.com/
Keeping my fingers crossed and thank you so very much for your generosity!!! I appreciate the chance at least.
