There Goes Trae Young Kicking Everybody's Ass Again

Oh no. No, no, no, this is not how it was supposed to go for the haters and losers — of which there are many! Trae Young wasn't supposed to continue to develop into the best offensive weapon in professional basketball! And yet, here we sit.

Thirty-seven points on 10-12 FG and 5-6 3PT with six rebounds and seven assists for good measure — and all in just 26 minutes. Is more than three points per field goal attempt good? I'm asking for all the so-called experts who continue to act like trading Luka Doncic for Trae Young and Cam Reddish — who added 15 points on 6-11 FG tonight, by the way — was an egregious loss for the Hawks. Sorry folks, Luka is great and all but I'll ride with my guys 11 times out of 10.

The simple fact is that it looks like the Atlanta Hawks are finally back to being at least relevant and we'll see how much further beyond that they can go this season. DeAndre hunter was 5-6 from the field. John Collins looked like his usual self. Danilo Gallinari seems like he'll fit in nicely offensively.

But it all comes down to the straw that stirs the drink and that's No. 11 — and he looks like he's going to be a force to be reckoned with this season and beyond. Best of luck to the rest of the NBA stopping Ice Trae this year.
