Justin Herbert Is Going To Tie (Or Break) The Rookie Touchdown Record Tonight

Before talking about Herbert's stats, lets qualify it with the fact that this team STINKS and the situation he was put in is fucking tragic. His first start in the NFL came with FIVE MINUTES of preparation time vs the defending Super Bowl Champs. He's played a majority of this season with a Frankenstein offensive line that is changed up almost every other quarter due to injuries. Speaking of which, he played a majority of this season missing 11+ players from the starting roster. And even if they weren't constantly malligned with injuries, they have on of the most BIRD-BRAINED coaching staffs maybe in the history of the NFL and, statistically speaking, one of the worst special teams units in NFL history! This is all shit that he cannot control. All he can do is adapt and overcome both the opposing team and his own working against him, and he has.

Going into this game, Herbert is sitting on a stat sheet of 3467 yards, 25 touchdowns and a 66% completion percentage. That puts him at 11th in the league in yards and 10th in touchdowns.

This season, he has already set the rookie record for most games with 3+ touchdowns(5), most yards in a first half (277), and most consecutive games with multiple touchdowns (7). He also set the record Most passing touchdowns through a players first 6 career games, he was the first player in NFL history with 1500 passing touchdowns and 15 Touchdowns through their first 6 NFL games.

Going into tonights game vs, he is:

- 2 touchdowns away from tying the rookie touchdown record

- 48 completions away from tying the rookie completion percentage

- 898 yards away from setting the rookie passing yards record (This one isn't really feasible unless something crazy happens, but still)

All these bulk stat records despite missing a game  and playing for a coach that actively tries to sabotage him. When Anthony Lynn, Gus Bradley and Shane Steichen are gone (and hopefully Eric Bieniemy is in), he may shatter every regular season record there is! Look at this magnificent beast!

This throw, a laser beam off his one back foot, isn't even the best throw he made this year! Today will be a bit more of a challenge, as he will be missing Mike Williams with an injury and Keenan Allen may not play either. That leaves him with WR1 Tyron Johnson and WR2 Jalen Guyton. The feeding order will more likely be #1 Austin Ekeler and #2 Hunter Henry, but the situation looks dire. But that is the key word, because looks can be deceiving.

The Raiders have the 8th worst passing defense in the league and hey also have the second fewest sacks. If you can find some props on Herbert, go over on passing and TDs. Win some money, and witness history.
