We Need To Know Which Star Players Were Texting Giannis About Joining Their Team

Alright it's time for Shams/Woj/etc to release the texts. You know they know who these players are. I bet they even have screenshots of the messages. Can you imagine how amazing it would be to see these? The internet might break. NBA Twitter would reach levels we've never seen before. Then you factor in all the tampering penalities that come with it? If I were the Bucks I would be leaking these pictures to anyone who asked, especially if one of the stars was on another contender. They tried to steal their franchise player and it backfired. Make them pay. Everyone spent years trying to get Giannis out of MIL, now that he's staying it's only right that the Bucks punch back.

If I had to guess who these star players were, I have some ideas.

1. Jimmy Butler

Everyone knows the Heat were in on Giannis. Everyone also knows that Jimmy Butler will do whatever he possibly can to bring guys to Miami. He's not even above threatening his own teammate in Goran Dragic, you don't think he's blowing up Giannis' phone? The way he and Riley were talking about adding a star while in the bubble, he has to be the leader in the clubhouse.

2. Steph Curry

The Warriors franchise guys are getting a little long in the tooth. Klay is out for the year. There is a history of Steph getting caught on camera clearly trying to recruit Giannis. There are worse franchises to play for than the Warriors, who for years now have shown the willingness to do whatever they can to compete for titles, which is what Giannis wants. 

3. LeBron

If I had to guess, LeBron promised to also give Giannis' brother an extension if he came to the Lakers. Probably talked about transitioning into a post-LeBron world with him and AD being the face of the team. As the defending champ, you definitely play up the whole winning a title thing. They have what Giannis wants. I bet LeBron just tweeted Giannis nothing but pictures of the trophy. Maybe a photoshop of Giannis holding it in a Lakers uniform

4. Kevin Durant

We all know Durant wants as much help as possible on his team to help win him a title. I dunno how the Nets could have made this work, but we also know KD is very active when it comes to using his phone. I'm throwing him in this simply because of the "rival" part. If healthy, many people think the Nets could be that East rival to the Bucks

5. Pascal Siakam or Kyle Lowry

There were rumors of Toronto being in on Giannis for a while. He has a connection with their GM. As their best players, it's on those two to bring in more help in Toronto. The Raptors were definitely going to make a pitch to Giannis this summer if he didn't extend, so they have to be taken seriously as options

6. Luka

Same thing with Luka and the Mavs. They were another team who was going to make a run at Giannis this offseason. They have tje euro connection. They are two guys who are at the top of the league in terms of the next wave of NBA superstars. I'm confident Luka sent a few texts. Who wouldn't want to play with him? Not only that, but a great owner in Cuban? I bet there was even some Facetimes mixed in with Cuban involved. That dude LOVES to go big fish hunting in free agency.

All I know is, we need Shams/Woj to come through for us. I know it'll probably ruin their standing with a few star players but whatever. Do it for the internet. Do it for all of us who have no connections. Release the texts.
