James Harden Fucking Loves To Party - Goes To Vegas On Off Days And Makes The Rockets Stay Longer In His Favorite Cities

[Source] - Unless they were on the front end of a back-to-back set, it was essentially a sure thing that the Rockets stayed overnight -- or even an extra day -- after games in Los Angeles, Phoenix and other road cities that rank among Harden's favorite stops.

If the Rockets had two or three days between games, it was a good bet Harden would call for an off day and charter a private jet to party in Las Vegas or another city. He always gets an excused absence from the first practice after the All-Star break for the same reason.

"Just James being James," those currently within the franchise say.

Are we really going to sit here and pretend to be mad about this? Hell no. We watched a documentary this year about a player on one of the most beloved teams of all time doing the same damn thing. In the middle of a title run, even. If anything this makes me think Harden is an even better player than an MVP winner. Traveling, even by private jet, isn't fun. It's not the easiest thing in world. You're still sitting on a plane for a couple hours.

As for staying in his favorite cities? Makes sense. Remember this stat that someone came up with on Reddit?

Would you rather stay in Miami for an extra night or travel to Salt Lake City? You don't have to be Vernon Maxwell to admit how much staying in Utah for an extended period of time sucks in the NBA. There are a million more fun cities to be and the benefit of being a pro athlete besides being uber-rich is to be able to party like this. You don't want to live like the guys on Entourage? Sign me up for that, still. Do you think James Harden gives a shit either? Let's go to the tape:

Sure as shit does not. Further proof?

And let's not pretend like James Harden isn't good. He's really fucking good, just not in the playoffs. But he's still a star. It just so happens he enjoys partying more than defense. Again, can you blame a guy for that? For sure not. The move of renting a private plane to go to Vegas though? That's how you know he has the Rockets by the balls. The fact that everyone is going to hate Harden for this makes me like him even more. It's clearly not impacting how he plays. Sure, it might make the teammates hate him. Sure, the Rockets are in sell-now mode because Tilman Fertitta is a god awful owner. But James Harden is going to fucking party.

Being rich sounds awesome.
