Breaking Down And Power Ranking The Cast Of 'The Challenge: Double Agents'

We're back tonight. That's right, America's Fifth Sport, The Challenge, returns. Two seasons in a year like it's completely normal. I love it. Now, it's no secret that we're huge fans of the show here at Barstool. Hell, a lot of us have been watching it for decades now. After a few seasons that flat out stunk, we've gotten back to the good stuff. The last 2-3 seasons have absolutely delivered and while we don't have No Quitters this season, I wanted to write about it. There's a ton of people who might be hopping back into it, might be forced to watch it with a significant other or just want to argue about it. All fine by me. We got the return of some vets this season, new blood with athletes and different shows and a theme that I'm not quite sure how will play out with the whole double agent thing.

So let's get to the cast and start the power rankings.

(The Challenge listed them as vets/rookies on IG, so we'll try to break it up more)

People Who Have Won A Challenge

CT

Giphy Images.

No introduction needed for CT. We all know him, we all love him. BUT there is an important piece here. CT is no longer dad bod CT. He lost weight, he shaved his head. He's terrifying again. This is like when Jordan went from 45 back to 23. It's that important. He needs to be on the show and he needs to be this version of CT. This the same guy that put Bananas in a backpack

Or when he just straight up kicked Adam's ass

Ashley

I still can't believe Ashley turned into a damn good competitor. She was a loose cannon on her season of Real World, but since has turned into someone who has won a million bucks and always is a favorite. She's still a loose cannon in the sense of getting pissed off at someone, but she's surprisingly good at puzzles and is athletic enough for almost any challenge. Never forget when she flat out screwed Hunter

Darrell

One of the all-time greats of The Challenge returns. He has 4 championships under his belt, all from season 7-12 though. We're now on season 36. That's a LONG time since a win. However, he says now that there's more money involved, he's more locked in. Love that thought process. He's still the record holder for most consecutive victories.

Wes

Again, a guy that needs no introduction. Last year he paired up with Bananas as the weirdest combo ever, but it paid off for Bananas. The biggest thing to watch is how he plays the game early. If he sits back and stays out of it, he's there in the end. If he tries to play the mind game too early he pisses people off and gets thrown in super early. I'll never forget when he talked about being the best swimmer ever, but nothing tops this clip:

Experienced Vets (4+ seasons)

Aneesa

A favorite on No Quitters, dubbed Diaper Breath. She's still around, year 14. She still won't win anything. She plays the game well enough but she just can't compete for a title. The time has passed. She's not throwing 90 anymore, she's painting the corner from time to time and hits you with a gem of a game.

Cory

A Barstool fan whether it's No Quitters or Podfathers or GameTime, Cory is back. It's pretty wild he hasn't won a title yet. He's always there. He's sort of got a Buffalo Bills thing to him now though. He tends to overthink the game and ends up shooting himself in the foot because of that. However, he's a favorite to win this thing.

Devin

I am fucking thrilled that Devin is back. There's no bigger sarcastic asshole in this game than him. It's tough to get the award, but he runs away with it. He will 100% talk about how he's smarter than everyone. He's the perfect asshole to cheer for because he will start shit for no reason. This will be the guy to disrupt the game early.

Josh

The absolute WORST. I guess some people find him as a lovable goofy guy, but I can't stand him. There's also a guarantee he cries at least once during this season. He tends to get too emotional or too attached to someone or something. Who knows with him. He thinks everyone is out to get him when in fact everyone forgets about him. Needless to say he's not too bright. That said he's NEEDED on this show. Gotta cheer against someone and he'll deliver some content.

Kam

Kam is back after a season off. Known as Killa Kam and dating Leroy is a good combo. They are off to a good start, in the promo episode earlier this week they decided to live in different rooms to get intel from different people. Smarter than most couples in this thing. She actually eliminated Tori before, so she's a strong competitor.

Kyle

It's been a bit tough for the people from the UK to stay as a name in this show, but Kyle is the longest running one. He's around for year 6 and he looks like he should win a championship. That said he struggles at times and tends to float by trying to get in an alliance with those that will carry him late. He's also awesome for this show because he will fuck a girl and that will be a storyline for the season. He did it with Cara Maria and it led to a rivalry with Paulie and Cara

Leroy

Outside of CT, I'd say there's no bigger fan favorite than Leroy. He already said this is his last season so we're even more on the Leroy train. The dude needs a win. He's had some bad luck with getting eliminated through the years. That said, nothing makes me laugh more than when he explains how he learned to swim.

Nelson

Cory's best friend who threw himself in late last season to let Cory to get to the Finals and try to win money for his family. That won him over for a lot of people. He's hilarious to watch because there's a good chance he thinks he's cutting a movie promo every time he talks. He always looks like he's auditioning for a role. He makes less sense than most of my headlines.

Tori

Jordan's ex (I missed they broke up. That’s on me.) comes into the season without Jordan. I want to see how she does without having him and part of the alliance that he's in. She's a great competitor and is probably the biggest shock to not have a ring yet. She's had some tough eliminations but there's no doubt she'll have a chance to win this season.

Nany

Hell yes. This show needs Nany. No, she won't ever win, that's not the point here. She had a chance to win in the season that Ashley won and still couldn't win. If you listen to No Quitters you know that we always look for what rookie guy she immediately goes after early in the season. It's a guarantee she'll make a move on a guy. Love that she's here.

Theresa

Theresa is back! It's been some time since we've seen her but she's making her return here. Back when she was regularly competing she was good, but she has a short fuse to say the least. I'll be curious to see if she's calmed down now that she's a mom, married and older. That said, never forget.

Inexperienced Vets

Fessy

Fessy is a former college football player and unlike Zach was actually good. Last season was his first year on the show and immediately looks like a guy that will challenge to win. He's in an alliance with Cory and Nelson and also a Big Brother alliance with Jay and Kaycee. He'll be a mainstay on the show no doubt.

Jay

Jay was on last season and thrown into an elimination every damn time. It was actually hilarious. He also beat CT, which was an upset to say the least. I'm thinking this is why CT decided to drop weight and shave his head. The elimination he beat CT in was stacking shit and barricading an entrance and then having to get in the other person's door. He was Nany's crush last year.

Kaycee

She finished second last year in her rookie year. Again, she's a Big Brother contestant that knows how to play the political side due to that and is athletic enough to compete obviously. She only had one elimination challenge last season and beat Kailah while winning 3 challenges. She's for sure a favorite here.

Nicole Z.

A sneaky pick to win this here. Her first two seasons she's made the Finals - finishing third and being forced to quit due to an ankle injury. Once you get over her ridiculous accent it's easier to watch her. She has an elimination win over Ashley which should be mentioned and will team up with Devin.

Big T

No not our Big T. The hilarious Big T, who had to leave last season because of an outrageous injury.

Rookies

Amber B.

Amber M.

Gabby

Joseph

Lio

Lolo Jones

Yep, that's Olympian Lolo Jones on this. No we're not counting Pros vs Joes as a real season. She'll finally get to go up against big time athletes now.

Mechie

Nam

Natalie

Liv

See everyone on the other side. No Bananas, but the real No. 1 TJ is back of course. Should be a solid season.
