'That Shit Is Dead Man' - Don't You Even Think About Bringing Up The URI Game To Ed Cooley, Don't You Fucking Dare

You got two friends of the program here. Ed Cooley, big time Stoolie. URI's bench, big time Stoolies. We got love for both sides of this rivalry. Don't get it twisted, I want this game to be played. All rivalry games should be taken care of first. Every year we should have Louisville/Kentucky, Xavier/UC, URI/Providence, Gonzaga/Washington, Illinois/Mizzou, etc. But this isn't a regular year. This is all about protecting whatever you have to do to get 25 games and your season. For Cooley's sake that's winning the Big East. Now, I don't think they have a chance to win the Big East because of their inconsistent offense and the fact they aren't close to a talent level of Nova and Creighton. 

But this is a blog to appreciate Ed Cooley. I love that he's direct and doesn't give a fuck. Is it going to piss off every URI fan? Yep. Going to piss off a bunch of Providence people too. But he doesn't care. He's looking out for his team and wants to win the Big East. He's correct in the sense that URI isn't in the Big East. Hard to argue with that logic. But he's honest. That's all I want. I want coaches to start giving us shit like this. In fact, I need the URI/Providence game to happen next year even more now after this. Cooley firmly planted himself as the enemy to URI, more than normal.
