Texas Message Board In Debate If Urban Meyer Is At Austin Hotel In Recent YouTube Video
Earlier this week we checked in on the rumors that Urban Meyer's wife was checking out real estate in Austin, Texas. This, of course, meant that Urban was making his return to the college football world as the new head coach for University of Texas. Yeah, the same exact rumor happened in 2013 with Nick Saban's wife, but as college football fans, we must have short memories.
Today, the Urban Meyer to Texas rumors have kind of taken a further step. I say kind of due to the fact that these rumors are coming from a message board. You may have thought that message boards were left in the early internet stage, but not for the world of college football. Message boards are alive and well. Fans across the country actually pay to access them to get the most recent news on recruits, coaching staff rumors, and crazy debate with other fans. It's an entire industry.
It appears this all is based around a single video from FOX's YouTube page that has just over 200 views.
They have matched everything down to the chair and curtains to a certain hotel/resort in Austin, Texas. How on earth someone put two and two together? That's beyond me.
One user pointed out that there is a ceiling fan, something that isn't in any of the 200 hotels he had been to in the past year. That was immediately proved wrong as this resort does have ceiling fans.

The ceiling fans really got me. Urban's wife was supposedly in Austin looking at real estate? Urban's at a hotel with a ceiling fan? URBAN TO TEXAS CONFIRMED.
As somebody who has always found himself believing a bit too much in conspiracies, a theory like this is right up my alley. It's so crazy that it may be true. Actually, it's so crazy that it MUST be true. My belief that Urban Meyer will be the coach of Texas is higher after seeing this than it was earlier in the day, I'll tell you that much.
This is the crazy, insane world of college football and it's why I love it so much. It's almost like something you'd write in a spoof. Keep on, keeping on college football message board users, we love you.
